What LIFEBuilders is...

The Church is God's way of manifesting His Glory on earth and is described as a body of many members knit together. Church members are told to spend time together worshiping the Lord and taking the Gospel to all peoples.

The Bible calls the time Christians spend together "fellowship." It is defined in the language of the Bible as "putting good deposits into one another." There are two types of biblical fellowship: group and personal, and it's important to understand the difference between them.

Group fellowship is best illustrated by our Sunday service and is known as corporate worship. This time allows the "church" to come together as a group of people for the specific purpose of worshiping the Lord. As the name implies, "group services" focus on the church as a whole. While this builds community, it is difficult within this context to build meaningful, lasting friendships.

Friendships are built in much smaller groups, what we call LIFEBuilders. These small gatherings meet in homes and allow for friendships to be made and strengthened within a comfortable, safe environment. Jesus said in John 10:10: "I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." That is the mandate of LIFEBuilders: to create an environment where true friendships can be developed and life's issues addressed through the applied wisdom of God's Word allowing believers to live a life free of the bondages of this life.

It is within these very personal gatherings that we are strengthened by the knowledge that all of us encounter similar issues in life. We learn to overcome them and live victoriously when we see that others have succeeded where we are currently challenged. Success, resulting in character, honor and integrity is the reward promised by our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.

LIFEBuilders allows for the true biblical meaning of fellowship to occur. We put good deposits into others so that we have something to withdraw when needed. Friendship is a two way street and LIFEBuilders paves the way for lifelong friendships to grow.
